Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to oversee electrical engineering projects in the Richards Bay area. You will manage projects from conception through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

The role requires liaising with stakeholders, managing project teams and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in project management and electrical engineering, with a proven track record in large-scale industrial

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of electrical engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Coordinate with site teams, contractors and clients to meet objectives.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations and standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks; resolve issues as they arise.
• Provide regular progress reports to management.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering to manage key projects in the Richards Bay area. This role requires a proactive individual to oversee projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will liaise with stakeholders, manage project teams, and ensure all technical aspects meet client and regulatory requirements. This is a vital position for driving successful project outcomes in a demanding industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of electrical engineering projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
• Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes , safety regulations, and company standards.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues as they arise.
• Conduct project reviews and provide regular progress reports to management.

Requirements

• Professional registration as a Pr. Eng or P1/P2 with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management and electrical engineering.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in Richards Bay .
