Placements24 is seeking a proactive Project Engineer to oversee construction management activities for infrastructure projects in the Nelspruit area and Mpumalanga region. You will coordinate site activities, manage contractors, and ensure projects meet schedule, budget and quality targets.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 6+ years in construction management, and exposure to roads, water reticulation, or building projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• ECSA registration (Pr. Eng. or Tech Eng.) advantageous.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction management or site-based project engineering.
• Experience in infrastructure projects (roads, water reticulation, buildings).
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site construction activities to meet schedules.

About the Role

This role is critical in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for coordinating site activities, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day construction activities on site, ensuring adherence to project schedules and plans.

Requirements

• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng. or Techni Eng.) is advantageous.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction management or as a site-based project engineer.
• Proven experience in managing infrastructure projects such as roads, water reticulation, or building construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract administration, and project scheduling.
