Programmatic Account Manager

Job Opportunity: Technical Account Manager – Programmatic Video (South Africa)

Heed is one of South Africa’s fastest-growing rewarded video advertising businesses. We are expanding our programmatic offering and are looking for a highly technical Account Manager to join our team. This role is critical in helping agencies and programmatic buyers unlock the full value of our rewarded video inventory.

What You’ll Do

Act as the go‑to technical partner for agency programmatic teams, ensuring smooth campaign setup, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Manage and support Private Marketplace (PMP) deals, ensuring correct inventory pulls through and campaigns deliver effectively.

Work closely with buyers on DV360, The Trade Desk, and other DSPs to set up, monitor, and optimize campaigns.

Troubleshoot delivery and integration issues between DSPs and supply partners, ensuring campaigns meet client goals.

Partner with internal teams to ensure flawless technical execution of deals.

Provide training and best practice guidance to agency partners to maximize spend and performance.

What We’re Looking For

2–4+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, with hands‑on experience across major DSPs (DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon TAM, Xandr, etc.).

Strong understanding of programmatic supply, PMP setups, and deal troubleshooting.

Proven experience working with agency trading desks and programmatic buyers.

Ability to diagnose technical issues quickly and translate complex concepts into clear client guidance.

Strong data and analytical skills with the ability to optimize toward campaign KPIs.

Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
