Placements24 is seeking a Program Development Officer for a prominent charitable foundation focused on sustainable development in Pretoria. The role blends office and field work, researching, designing, and piloting new programs addressing social and environmental issues in Gauteng.

You will collaborate with community leaders, government agencies, and partners to ensure relevant, impactful programs and sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in International Development, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in program design, development and management, preferably in NGO/non-profit sectors.
• Proven ability to research, analyze data, and develop compelling program proposals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies for potential new programs.
• Develop comprehensive program proposals with objectives, activities, budgets, and evaluation plans.
• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with local and international stakeholders.
• Pilot new program initiatives and monitor their implementation and effectiveness.
• Analyze program data and prepare reports for senior management and donors.
• Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in sustainable development.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather input and build consensus.
• Contribute to the organization's strategic planning process.
• Manage relationships with implementing partners and ensure adherence to project agreements.
