Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Remote Program Development Officer to lead creation and implementation of programs for underserved communities. This fully remote role is based out of Centurion, requiring strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and a passion for social impact in the nonprofit sector.

You will assess community needs, design interventions, secure funding through grants, oversee delivery, and evaluate outcomes with data-driven adjustments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, International Development, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in program development, management and evaluation in the nonprofit sector.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing impactful programs.
• Strong skills in research methodologies, data analysis and report writing.
• Excellent proposal and grant writing capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify key social issues and opportunities for intervention within target communities.
• Design, develop, and pilot new programs and initiatives aligned with our client's strategic objectives.
• Create detailed program proposals, including logic models, budgets, and performance indicators.
• Secure funding and resources for new programs through grant writing and donor engagement.
• Oversee the implementation of approved programs, ensuring they are delivered effectively and efficiently.
• Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, beneficiaries, and relevant stakeholders.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops for program staff and community participants.
• Stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends in program development and social impact.
