Qualifications

• SACAP registered Professional Architect with 12+ years post-qualification experience.
• Master's degree in Architecture.
• Proven leadership of architectural projects from concept through to completion.
• Strong client engagement and presentation experience.
• Extensive experience with Revit and Autodesk software.
• Established client portfolio is essential.

Responsibilities

Our client, an established architectural practice, is seeking an experienced Professional Senior Architect to join their Bellville team. This is a senior-level opportunity for an architect who combines strong design leadership with technical expertise, project management and client engagement.

Key Performance Areas:

• Lead the conceptualisation, spatial design and visual direction of architectural projects.
• Manage projects from early-stage feasibility and master planning through to detailed design and construction.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate consultants to achieve project objectives.
• Act as a key design voice during client presentations, pitches and competition entries.
• Oversee technical documentation and ensure design intent is maintained through construction.
• Conduct site visits and support construction administration processes.
• Monitor project programmes, quality standards and delivery requirements.
• Mentor mid-level architects, technologists and junior design staff.
• Drive design reviews and maintain the studio's visual and design standards.
• Integrate sustainable design strategies and contextual considerations into project solutions.

Requirements:

• SACAP Registered Professional Architect.
• Master's degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 12 years' post-qualification experience.
• Minimum 8 years' experience using Revit.
• Proficiency in the Autodesk Suite.
• Experience with rendering software.
• Established client portfolio is essential.
• Proven experience leading architectural projects from concept through to completion.
• Strong experience managing and leading teams, projects and consultants.
• Extensive architectural design, spatial planning and technical coordination experience.
• Experience with construction administration, site processes and quality control.
• Strong client engagement and presentation experience, including pitch and competition presentations.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and sustainable design principles.
