Job summary

A leading pharmaceutical company is seeking a Sales Representative based in South Africa to promote products among pharmacies and doctors. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences and at least three years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Job Description

Responsibilities


  • Selling, detailing and promoting products, in a designated area, to targeted Pharmacies and dispensing doctors.

  • Assisting, organizing and presenting commercial activities within Pharmacies as well as programmes and other promotional events in the designated area and/or nationally.

  • The implementation of action plans in accordance with the marketing/sales strategy of the Company.

  • Personally, visiting and liaising with relevant targeted clients which are crucial to the performance of the Company, as agreed with the respective Regional Manager/National Sales Manager & Key Accounts Manager.

  • Maintaining a data-base of all targeted clients.

  • Liaising with the Regional Manager/National Sales Manager & Key Accounts Manager with respect to the effective exploitation of the various business opportunities in the designated areas.


Qualifications

Education:



  • Bachelors Degree/ Diploma in Life Sciences or Relative Field


Experience:



  • Minimum 3 years of Pharma Industry Experience

  • Established and Existing relationships in the territory and the Key Stake holder.


Ideal Candidate Profile


  • A thorough understanding of the SA Pharmaceutical Industry and knowledge of health care related events, with preference given to candidates with at least 3 years Pharmaceutical experience in a commercial environment.

  • Ability to solidify and expand business relationships.

  • Ability to convey messages and motivate certain audiences.

  • Able to efficiently manage budget and resources within the scope of the business model and expense policy guidelines.

  • Demonstrate the ability to sell products and achieve sales targets.

  • Demonstrate the ability to learn product/disease entity information.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, high energy organization.

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical marketing principles.

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.

  • Computer literacy.
