Job summary

A leading construction firm in Witbank is urgently seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor. Responsibilities include overseeing the quantity surveying services throughout the project lifecycle and managing team performance. The ideal candidate must have a B Degree/B Tech in Quantity Surveying and 5 years of relevant experience. Professional registration with the South African Council for Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) is essential. A competitive salary is offered based on experience.

Qualifications

• 5 years related experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or Engineering and Construction Contracts.
• Professional registration with SACQSP as a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS).
• Professional registration with SACQSP as a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS).

Responsibilities

• Ensure all quantity surveying standard services are provided throughout the project life cycle.
• Manage delivery of the project quantity surveying services.
• Prepare and review estimates of construction cost.
• Prepare and review preliminary and detailed cost estimates for budget approvals.
• Assist with tender evaluations, contract clarifications and cost negotiations.
• Monitor and support project controls and contract administration services.
• Lead and support the collation and compilation of contract documentation.
