RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established firm in Gauteng, specialising in construction and property solutions is currently seeking a highly experienced and professionally registered Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all aspects of quantity surveying services across multiple projects
• Manage and mentor a team of junior and intermediate QS professionals
• Ensure quality control, accuracy, and consistency of cost management deliverables
• Prepare cost estimates, cost plans, bills of quantities, and tender documentation
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments
• Provide contractual and procurement advice to clients
• Administer contracts and handle variations, valuations, and final accounts
• Lead client meetings, maintain regular communication, and build lasting relationships
• Oversee project financials and ensure delivery within budget and timeline expectations
• Contribute to business development and support the growth of the QS practice

Requirements

• BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying
• Must be registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP)
• Minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience in a consulting QS environment
• Demonstrated experience managing or supervising project teams
• Strong track record of successfully managing client relationships and project delivery
• Excellent knowledge of South African construction contracts (e.g., JBCC, NEC, FIDIC)
• Proficiency in WinQS, MS Office
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Valid driver’s license and own transport
