Job summary

Together Staffing group seeks an experienced Professional Architect to lead architectural work for new buildings, alterations, maintenance and conversions per client needs. The role covers planning, design, implementation and monitoring through completion.

The appointee must have NQF Level 7 qualification and SACAP registration, with a strong portfolio and proven ability to manage projects and coordinate with other professionals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Attend client briefings and prepare project specifications and proposals.

• Ensure compliance with standards, codes and client requirements.
• Keep projects within budgets and timelines; visit sites as needed.

Our client seeks to appoint an experienced Professional Architect to be part of the technical team responsible for planning, design, implementation and monitoring of the construction projects until completion.
The appointee will be responsible for all the architectural work for new buildings, alterations, additions, maintenance and conversions as per the client's needs.

Minimum Requirements

• NQF Level 7 Tertiary Qualification as an Architect/Architectural Technologist and be professionally registered with South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).

Requirements and skills

• Be creative and have at least three years working experience.
• Strong architectural work portfolio to prove artistic skills.
• Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
• Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with architectural design software.
• Strong imagination and the ability to think and create three dimensions for better presentation.
• Experience in Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Attend client's brief and prepare project specifications and project proposals.
• Conduct Feasibility Studies, Plan, control and achieve projects' deliverables from initiation stage until completion.
• Creation of Site Development Plans (SDPs)
• Prepare high quality, innovative and functional architectural detailed designs which are fully compliant with the client's requirements and statutory regulations.
• Preparation, presentation and submission of Site Development Plans and detailed designs for construction purposes.
• Keep all projects within budgets and timelines
• Ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations
• Make on site visits to check on project status and report on project.
• Cooperate and liaise with other construction professionals and coordinate all their work for successful planning, execution and completion of the projects.
