About the Role

Our client, a well-established leader in metal fabrication and manufacturing, is looking for a skilled and motivated Production Team Lead to join their facility in Rustenburg, North West. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for guiding a team of skilled fabricators and machine operators, ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of custom metal components. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in metalworking, excellent leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail. You will play a critical role in meeting production targets, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a positive team dynamic. This position requires you to be fully present at our Rustenburg site, directly supervising daily operations and contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing division. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and motivate a team of production personnel in daily operations.
• Ensure all fabrication and assembly processes are carried out efficiently and to quality specifications.
• Monitor workflow and resource allocation to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and best practices on the production floor.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet customer requirements.
• Operate various metal fabrication machinery as needed, including welding, cutting, and bending equipment.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement timely solutions.
• Collaborate with supervisors and managers to plan production activities and resource needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the North West facility.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in production processes and team performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor in a metal fabrication or manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of metalworking techniques, blueprint reading, and fabrication processes.
• Proficiency with various metal fabrication machinery (e.g., CNC machines, welders, shears).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
• Experience in a supervisory role within the Rustenburg industrial area is an advantage.
• A technical qualification or apprenticeship in a related trade is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually.
• Demonstrated ability to manage team performance and foster a positive work culture.
