Job summary

Neptune in South Africa is seeking a Production Lead to oversee manufacturing operations, driving safety, quality, and efficiency while coordinating daily plant activities to meet production targets.

You will champion process improvements, analyse breakdowns, manage shifts, and ensure SAP transactions and stock counts are accurate, while controlling costs and losses.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage production teams to ensure safety, compliance, and performance standards
• Coordinate daily plant operations to achieve production, efficiency, and quality targets
• Drive plant performance through process optimisation and troubleshooting
• Oversee breakdown support and maintenance coordination to maximise availability
• Manage shift activities including reporting, stock counts, and SAP transactions
• Control costs, overtime, and material losses in line with budget
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, audits, and product specifications
• Lead problem solving, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement initiatives
