HTS HR Services Pty in Cape Town seeks an experienced production/operations leader to uphold quality and food safety standards within a fast-moving FMCG environment. The role emphasises delivering reliable manufacturing outputs through KPI monitoring, strong stakeholder communication, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
The successful candidate will oversee staffing, drive process improvements, and ensure a safe, compliant workplace consistent with group SHE goals.
Minimum of a Degree or Advanced Diploma in a relevant field; Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Business Studies etc.
Minimum of 4 years progressive food manufacturing experience - with a minimum of 1 years in a more senior production/operational role. Proven knowledge and experience with equipment, process and product design and commissioning in line with requirement to maintain quality, throughput and effectiveness. Proven capacity to convert requirements to an achievable output and effective communicator of progress to all business stakeholders. Successful project delivery through effective reporting team leadership. Deadline driven within a fast-moving environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills/ team player an effective leader that can maximise human capital to best effect across various applications. Confidence and fortitude to deal with problems and ultimately identify, implement and monitor sustainable solutions. Excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills.
Ensure that quality and food safety standards as agreed with technical manager, are embedded throughout the department and monitored, managed and achieved using KPIs as effective progress trackers. Ensure that the departmental structure is balanced to business requirements and is resourced by the appropriate human capital. Drive a safe working environment within the department by ensuring that the business meets world class FMCG standards to achieve aims of the group SHE policy goals. Develop internal and external customer relationships, which inspire confidence in the sites manufacturing capability. Influence and support other functions within the business to facilitate joint successful delivery. Create an environment conducive to inclusivity, create a safe space to solicit alternatives and challenge proposals to the status quo.
Ensure timely and effective supply of accurate and effective reporting required to achieve KPIs. Set the conduct and interpersonal style and standards to mindfully shape the culture and ethical framework within which the department and site operates. Plan, organise, guide and direct outputs of reports to achieve the objectives of the business. Cross departmental collaboration to drive successful projects, share knowledge and improve processes. Oversee an efficient, effective department that responds rapidly to fluid and changeable circumstances.
