Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Production Planner for a prominent manufacturing entity in Kimberley. You will coordinate production schedules, align with forecasts, and ensure material flow meets demand while optimizing resources across departments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 2–3 years in production planning, with ERP (SAP/Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. A fast-paced Northern Cape environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in production planning or scheduling in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production processes, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
• ERP proficiency (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel for data analysis.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with multiple departments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced Kimberley environment.
• Familiarity with demand forecasting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed production schedules based on demand, inventory, and capacity.
• Coordinate with procurement for timely materials availability.
• Monitor progress and adjust schedules for delays or demand changes.
• Collaborate with production to ensure adherence to schedules.
• Maintain and update production planning data in systems.
• Analyze data to identify efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
• Communicate schedules and updates to stakeholders.
• Participate in S&OP meetings.
• Ensure efficient use of resources including machinery and labor.
• Assist in inventory management to optimize stock levels.
