Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a leading force in the South African Oil & Gas industry, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Production Operations Manager to oversee their upstream production facilities. This critical role is based at our operational hub in Centurion, Gauteng , and requires a hands-on approach to managing daily production activities, ensuring operational integrity, and driving efficiency. The successful candidate will lead a team of highly skilled professionals, responsible for optimizing production output, maintaining asset reliability, and upholding the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize daily production operations, ensuring efficient and safe hydrocarbon extraction.
• Develop and implement production strategies to meet or exceed company targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in oil and gas production operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing production facilities and teams.
• Strong understanding of production processes, artificial lift systems, and process safety management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control operational costs effectively.
• Knowledge of South African regulatory frameworks governing the oil and gas sector.
• Experience with risk assessment and management of change processes.
