Job summary

Libstar in Cape Town seeks an experienced Production Manager to oversee the entire production process, ensuring GMP adherence and meeting customer specifications for order quantity and quality.

You will lead production teams, coordinate with technical and maintenance departments, and ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining documentation and complying with food safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Production Management.
• 5 years production management experience.
• 6-8 years’ experience in FMCG industry.
• Understanding of Food manufacturing and production.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Methodologies advantageous.
• Knowledge of technical process and principles advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper and accurate production planning and GMP adherence.
• Liaise with technical and maintenance departments to ensure optimal performance of the production function.
• Ensure optimum use of production resources.
• Maintain proper functioning of manufacturing equipment.
• Lead and manage the various teams to produce results in line with customer expectations.
• Supervise, mentor and motivate the respective teams.
• Maintain all documentation required for due process.
• Ensure all orders are produced in full and lines meet efficiency targets.
