Job summary

Elchemie Recruitment in Emalahleni area seeks a Production Engineer (EWRP) to support operations with technical guidance, optimise plant productivity, and ensure safe, reliable process performance. You will drive continuous improvement, monitor plant health and lead on-site process changes.

The role requires 3–5 years in water treatment, experience with mine-impacted water and membrane filtration, and a B.Eng in Chemical Engineering. Own transport is essential; salary is market related.

Qualifications

  • Chemical Engineering degree preferred or equivalent
  • 3–5 years in water treatment with improvement initiatives
  • Experience with Mine Impacted Water treatment processes
  • Experience with membrane filtration processes
  • Own transport and valid driver’s license, medically fit and no criminal record

Responsibilities

  • Continuously improve and optimize processes
  • Maintain administration and control procedures
  • Monitor, record, and report on process performance
  • Attend client meetings and report on progress to ensure satisfaction
  • Compile monthly plant reports and participate in client reviews
  • Monitor plant health and intervene to optimize performance
  • Provide process, operations, and maintenance expertise
  • Lead on-site implementation of process changes
  • Develop and implement SOPs and train staff
