Job summary
HENSOLDT South Africa is seeking a Production Engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams in developing and implementing high-quality manufacturing and assembly solutions. You will drive concurrent engineering, establish baselines and ensure production readiness for repeatable, high-precision manufacturing operations.
You will evaluate concepts using DFMA, design efficient production workflows, and guide readiness reviews from concept to handover.
Qualifications
- Diploma or higher in mechanical, electronic or industrial engineering.
- Experience in DFMA and producibility analysis.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes for high-precision products.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate concepts with DFMA to define assembly and manufacturing strategies.
- Design production workflows, layouts, tooling and fixtures with stakeholders.
- Maintain baselines, procedures and master data for repeatable production.
- Lead line commissioning, readiness reviews and handover to operations.
