Job summary

West Coast Personnel in Cape Town is seeking a structured Production Manager to lead a 20+ staff production team, plan daily output to meet customer orders, and ensure quality and on-time delivery in a busy manufacturing environment.

You will coordinate equipment setup, maintenance, stock control, warehouse operations, and adherence to OHS standards, while coaching staff and contributing to continuous improvement and management decisions.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• 5+ years' Production Manager / Production Supervisor experience.
• Proven experience managing 20+ production staff.
• Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous.
• Strong technical aptitude and manufacturing knowledge.
• Experience within timber, woodworking, shopfitting, engineering, packaging, printing, metal or plastics advantageous.
• Strong production planning and organisational ability.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Computer literate: Excel and Outlook.
• Forklift license advantageous.
• OHS experience advantageous.
• Able to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong but fair people-management style.
