Pick n Pay in Gauteng is seeking a team member to manufacture and prepare meat products, price items, and assist customers with product selection.

This role requires Matric, English communication, and willingness to work across stores; transferability between stores is expected. The position emphasizes hygiene, safety, and accurate processes.

Formación

• Matric required.
• Must reside close to the store.
• Able to manufacture / produce various meat products e.g. sausage, mince.

Responsabilidades

• Manufacture/ prepare and/ or wrap products according to specifications and budgets.
• Correctly price random weight/loose items.
• Check prices and labels.
• Conduct quality checks and rotate stock; remove damaged/expired stock.
• Maintain hygiene, safety, and cold chain standards.
• Ensure security procedures are followed.
• Assist customers courteously and provide product guidance.
• Process customer orders according to procedures and service standards.
• Promote products and communicate with staff, customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture/ prepare and/ or wrap products according to specifications/ standards and daily/ weekly budgets
• Correctly price random weight/ loose selling items
• Check correct pricing e.g Labels
• Conduct regular quality checks, ensure that stock is rotated. Damaged/ expired stock is removed
• Prevent wastage/ shrinkage/ damages
• Check temperatures/ maintain the cold chain
• Ensure that hygiene, housekeeping and safe working standards are maintained (floor back-up)
• Ensure security procedures are adhered to
• Operate and clean equipment according to laid down standards
• Approach and advise customers on the product, listen to customers’ requests, provide the required product or services and handle customers in a courteous and professional manner
• Process all customer orders according to the correct procedures and servce standards
• Promote products
• Communicate effectively with employees, management, customers and suppliers

• Note: The incumbent may also be expected to perform other duties as assigned from time to time. This position will require transferability between stores.
