Job summary

Humankind in Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa, is seeking a seasoned Product Manager to drive profitability, pricing and stock governance across ICT products. You will partner with sales, logistics and vendors to optimize margins, provide quotations and support market launches.

The role requires a proven track record in product management, logistics exposure, and strong stakeholder engagement. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally are advantageous.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive monthly GP, sell-in, sell-out, stock and aged-stock targets.
• Manage product profitability, pricing and margin structures.
• Manage OTB, stock budgets and weeks of inventory.
• Monitor and optimise stock levels across the portfolio.
• Oversee order management and end-to-end logistics processes.
• Produce product costings, pricing and retailer quotations.
• Support sales teams with quotations, listings and commercial input.
• Lead weekly sales meetings and resolve stock-related challenges.
• Manage vendor credits, AP variances and related disputes.
• Build strong relationships with vendors, retailers, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with HP on product strategy, incentives and promotional programmes.
• Track performance and provide meaningful commercial insights.
• Maintain accurate ERP product codes, pricing and agreements.
• Deliver product and sales training to internal teams.
• Stay abreast of market trends, new products and technology roadmaps.

What we're looking for

• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Ability to work with formulas, calculations, Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong interest in technology and IT products
• Highly organised, self-motivated and able to perform under pressure.

Qualification

Matric required. A relevant tertiary qualification/diploma in Sales, Marketing or Finance would be advantageous.

Additional

A valid driver's licence and own vehicle are required. Local and interprovincial travel will be required.
