Our client is a leading distributor of gaming accessories, streaming products, consumer electronics, energy solutions and Collectible kiddult products, focusing on retail and online retailers.

Location: Kaylami, Johannesburg, Gauteng

Job type: Full-Time permanent

Salary: R40 000pm

Start date: 1 September / 1 October 2026

The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering (Factory), sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager also ensures that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.

Develops products by identifying potential products; conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; developing marketing strategies.

A Product Manager must be passionate about building products that customers love. Product Managers improve customer experiences, generate new product ideas, and outline detailed product strategies, among other duties.

Product Managers will need to manage diverse teams spanning engineering and marketing, requiring both a strong technical background and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
  • Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
  • Obtains product market share by working with sales director to develop product sales strategies.
  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses, answering questions and requests.
  • Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules.
  • Brings new products to market by analysing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.
  • Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
  • Outlining a detailed product strategy.
  • Managing product road maps and releases.
