Pargo in Cape Town is seeking a product manager to own operations end-to-end, from strategy through execution and measurement, focusing on logistics and e-commerce.
You will run discovery sessions, manage backlog, support launches, conduct user interviews, and collaborate with hardware teams for pickup-point activations.
Business & Client Support
Stakeholder support: Serve as the centralised point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on product-related questions
Ticket specification: Write detailed Jira tickets with full context to streamline engineering delivery
Product Development
Portfolio ownership: Own Product Operations and Powered by Pargo end-to-end, from strategy through execution and measurement
Discovery & insights: Run discovery sessions and translate research into prioritized insights
Backlog management: Sequence and manage the backlog for the dev team, flagging dependencies and priorities
Product Launch & Scale
Product launches: Support new launches by ensuring business readiness, coordinating training, and enabling scale
Gather stakeholder input into iterations required to support product growth
User Insights
User research: Conduct interviews with consumers, retailers, and pickup point partners to surface opportunities for automation and optimisation
Hardware Support
Support the Pargo Point Technical Lead on maintaining and configuring new hardware required for pickup point activations
Reporting & Monitoring
Metrics & analysis: Track product-market fit metrics monthly per offering and conduct deep-dive analysis on data insights
Ad hoc Tasks
Carry out ad hoc operational, technical, reporting, and support tasks as assigned by the team lead or management.
Travel may be required by prior arrangement.

Hands-on Jira experience (writes tickets, manages workflows)
Experience in logistics, supply chain, e-commerce, or marketplaces
Understanding the SDLC, KPI tracking and product-market fit measurement experience
Demonstrated user feedback and product decision journey
Google Suite + basic data analysis proficiency (Metabase)
Comfort working autonomously in a lean team environment with minimal overhead
Product portfolio or multi-offering management experience
South African tech background or emerging market experience
Work on real, high-impact data problems in logistics and e-commerce.
