Job summary

Mind Detect in Cape Town is seeking a Product Designer (UX/UI) to join our early-stage team on a hybrid basis. You will shape the product experiences, from merchant dashboards to AI-powered shopping experiences, with significant ownership.

You’ll work with the founding team, engineers and customers to test ideas, prototype, and ship high-quality interfaces. The role offers equity and a chance to make a large impact in a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of product design experience preferred.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful UX and polished UI.
• Experience with Figma and interactive prototyping.
• Experience designing digital products from concept to launch.
• Startup or B2B SaaS experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design user experiences from concept through to production
• Create wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI in Figma
• Work closely with customers to understand problems and test solutions
• Collaborate daily with engineering to ship high-quality products
• Design demos that showcase new capabilities to customers
• Help create marketing assets, sales collateral and product visuals where needed
• Build and evolve our design system as the product grows
• Continuously improve existing experiences based on customer feedback
