Job summary

MRI Software is seeking a Product Designer in a hybrid role based in Cape Town, with options for Johannesburg. You will work across UX, including research, design, documentation, and testing, translating requirements into practical features.

You will collaborate in a cross-functional team, applying qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions. The role emphasizes AI-assisted design workflows with responsible, user-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience delivering user-centred SaaS experiences.
• Ability to design intuitive, accessible, and visually polished user experiences using Figma and established design patterns.
• Experience contributing to design systems and creating consistent, responsive experiences across platforms and devices.
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and collaboration with Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end user experiences by translating user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints into intuitive product solutions.
• Create and maintain user flows, information architecture, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed design specifications.
• Plan, conduct, and synthesise usability testing and other discovery activities, using insights to validate and iterate design solutions.
• Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers throughout the Agile delivery process to ensure design quality and successful implementation.
• Contribute to the evolution and adoption of the design system, UI standards, and accessibility best practices across products.
• Continuously improve product experiences by analysing user feedback, product analytics, and emerging technologies.
