• Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant financial accounting experience.
• Experience with Pastel.
• Experience with QX/Prophet or a similar agricultural ERP system advantageous.
• Strong accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation skills.
• Good understanding of VAT, PAYE, income tax, and statutory compliance.
• Good Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
• Understanding of the fruit export environment advantageous.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger accounts, journals, accruals, and provisions.
• Perform bank, debtor, creditor, and other account reconciliations.
• Manage producer accounts, payments, sales, cost of sales, and fruit-related operational costs.
• Process invoices, credit notes, supplier payments, and monitor outstanding balances.
• Capture and reconcile financial information across accounting and operational systems, including QX/Prophet.
• Manage banking processes, payment schedules, ocean freight, and other export-related costs.
• Prepare VAT, PAYE/EMP201, and other statutory information and assist with SARS compliance.
• Support monthly and annual financial reporting, year-end processes, and external audits.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, profitability, and cost-saving initiatives.
