Job summary

SARAO is seeking a high performing graduate for an internship in supply chain management and procurement in Cape Town. The role offers hands-on experience across bid administration, contract management, PO issuance, RFQ compilation, and supplier follow-up.

The ideal candidate will hold an NQF Level 6 qualification in SCM, Finance or related field, with strong MS Office skills and a keen eye for detail. The internship emphasizes professional development and exposure to public sector procurement

Qualifications

• NQF Level 6 qualification in SCM, Finance or related field.
• MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) experience.
• Good computer skills and ability to analyse problems.
• Knowledge of Public Sector SCM, NT regulations, CSD and Demand Management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Bid administrative related activities
• Assist Contract management and administration
• Assist with issuing of purchase orders
• Compile RFQ using correct template
• Assist with Evaluation and communicating with the end user
• Assist with circulation of evaluation reports for signing/approval
• Identify and follow up with the suppliers for long outstanding order
