Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a diligent Spend Analyst in Gauteng to examine and analyse group spend, ensuring compliant processes and effective cost control. You will collect, categorize, and analyse expenditures daily, and prepare reports about spend recoverables for business units.

The role requires Grade 12, with a tertiary qualification seen as advantageous, and own transport with a valid driver’s license to cover travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensively examine all spend on a daily basis - collecting, categorizing, and analysing the expenditure.
• Analyse spend recoverable from customers, ensuring reports from BUs are maintained and updated with reasons and/or billing information.
• Prevent and decrease unnecessary spending, ensuring policies are followed.
• Ensure that purchase approval always transpires before the expense transpires.
• Check invoice irregularities and identify potential overcharges.
• Research and evaluate areas of opportunity to propose savings alternatives.
• Special projects as required and conduct supplier reviews, including price negotiation.
