About the Role

Our client, a leading Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company operating in George, Western Cape , is seeking a strategic and results-driven Procurement Manager. This senior role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process for raw materials, packaging, and operational supplies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the FMCG market, strong negotiation skills, and a proven ability to manage a diverse supplier base to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and supply chain resilience. You will lead a team of procurement professionals and play a critical role in shaping our client's sourcing strategies to support ambitious growth plans. This position requires a proactive approach to market analysis, risk management, and building strong, collaborative relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Requirements

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex market data and develop effective sourcing strategies.
• Excellent understanding of financial principles and budget management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• An MBA or CIPS qualification is a plus.
• Experience working with suppliers in the Western Cape region and nationally.
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
