Job summary

Fusion Personnel is seeking a Procurement Manager/Senior Specialist in South Africa to lead international sourcing, supplier negotiations, and import procurement. The role focuses on landed costs, freight, customs, and optimizing inventory to protect margins.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and negotiation skills, experience with ERP and MS Office, and knowledge of NRCS/SABS/SARS regulations. This is a full-time on-site position supporting global supply chains.

Qualifications

• Matric is a minimum qualification.
• Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or Senior Procurement Specialist.
• Strong international sourcing and supplier negotiation experience.
• Import procurement and supply chain experience.
• Sound knowledge of landed costing, freight and customs processes.
• Experience negotiating pricing, payment terms, rebates and commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of inventory planning and stock optimisation.
• Knowledge of NRCS, SABS, SARS and customs regulations.
• Excellent commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Source new and innovative products from international suppliers.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms and commercial agreements.
• Drive procurement savings and improve gross margins.
• Analyse landed costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage import procurement, freight and customs processes.
• Plan purchasing requirements based on demand forecasts.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure continuity of supply.
• Process purchase orders and maintain supplier records.
• Coordinate supplier payments, reconciliations and import documentation.
• Monitor shipment schedules and communicate ETAs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement and import regulations.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and identify new product opportunities.
