Job summary

Tiger Brands in South Africa seeks a Production Operator to support daily manufacturing operations on the mixing line. You will prepare and mix products according to established SOPs and batch records, ensuring compliance with GMP and Food Safety requirements.

You will cleanse equipment, load recipes from the system, monitor batches, take representative samples for QC, and report discrepancies to the Process Controller to maintain production plans.

Qualifications

• Competently mix products according to SOPs to meet daily production plan.
• Follow GMP and Food Safety requirements during operations.
• Prepare, CIP clean tanks and fillers as specified.

Responsibilities

• Mix products according to recipes and shop floor orders.
• Clean equipment and work areas per GMP standards.
• Record batches in the batch control book and collect QC samples.
• Inform QC and Process Controller about discrepancies.

Batches of products are mixed according to the applicable recipes and meet product specifications.

Clean the mixing equipment and surrounding area (as per GMP & Food Safety requirements)

CIP the tanks and Fillers according to the specific requirements.

Do visual inspections inside tanks before starting batch making

Inform QC to take swabs after CIP

Complete CIP check-sheets

Audit material against shop floor order and rectify discrepancies with Issuer and sign

Receive (batch) raw material from stores

Download recipes from system and load information according to the shop floor order and plan

Compare shop floor order with the recipes

Connect swing band properly to avoid contamination of products.

Report any discrepancies to the Process Controller

Record the batches on the batch control book

Take samples of product to QC.
