Job summary

Tiger Brands in Gauteng is seeking a production operator to mix batches and ensure daily production targets are met. You will follow SOPs and GMP/food safety requirements on the shop floor.

You will clean and CIP equipment, load recipes from the system, inspect batches, and record data in the batch control book while coordinating with QA for sampling and swab procedures.

Preference may be given to candidates from under-represented designated groups in line with employment equity plans.

Qualifications

• Experience following GMP and Food Safety requirements.
• Ability to prepare batches according to recipes and shop floor orders.
• Record batches and take samples for QC.

Responsibilities

• Mix products according to SOPs to meet the daily production plan.
• Clean mixing equipment and area per GMP & Food Safety.
• CIP tanks and fillers as specified.
• Take samples of product to QC and record batch data.
• Inform QC to take swabs and complete CIP check-sheets.

Job description

Competently mix products according to applicable SOPs in order to meet the daily production plan.

Batches of products are mixed according to the applicable recipes and meet product specifications.

Clean the mixing equipment and surrounding area (as per GMP & Food Safety requirements)

CIP the tanks and Fillers according to the specific requirements.

Do visual inspections inside tanks before starting batch making

Inform QC to take swabs after CIP

Complete CIP check-sheets

Audit material against shop floor order and rectify discrepancies with Issuer and sign

Receive (batch) raw material from stores

Download recipes from system and load information according to the shop floor order and plan

Compare shop floor order with the recipes

Connect swing band properly to avoid contamination of products.

Report any discrepancies to the Process Controller

Record the batches on the batch control book

Take samples of product to QC
