Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering is required.

• Experience applying lean tools in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with simulation and statistical analysis.
• Hybrid work model; able to work on-site and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analyses of manufacturing and operational processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Design and implement lean manufacturing initiatives (VSM, 5S, Kaizen).
• Develop and optimize production layouts, workflows and material handling.
• Perform time and motion studies to establish efficient work standards.

You will be responsible for analyzing existing workflows, identifying opportunities for optimization, and leading projects that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical foundation, practical experience with lean methodologies, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analyses of manufacturing and operational processes to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on process improvement and lean manufacturing.
• Proven experience applying lean tools and methodologies in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with simulation software and statistical analysis techniques.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Experience working within the automotive or related manufacturing sectors in South Africa is a plus.
• Ability to contribute effectively in both on-site and remote work settings, adapting to hybrid work models.
