About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to focus on process flow and efficiency improvements within their operations in Soweto, Gauteng . This is an on‑site role dedicated to analyzing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing practical solutions to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in industrial engineering principles, excellent observational skills, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. You will work closely with production teams to understand their challenges and develop implementable improvements. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the operational success of a key organization in the Soweto, Gauteng community.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze existing production and operational processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Map current state process flows and develop future state designs to optimize material and information movement. Conduct time studies, motion studies, and value stream mapping to quantify process performance. Develop and implement recommendations for workflow enhancements, workstation design, and facility layout adjustments. Collaborate with shop floor personnel and supervisors to gather feedback and ensure successful implementation of changes. Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs). Track the impact of implemented changes on productivity, cost, and quality metrics. Prepare reports and present findings and proposed solutions to management. Ensure all implemented solutions comply with safety regulations and operational best practices in Soweto, Gauteng .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on process analysis and efficiency improvement.
• Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio) and basic CAD software.
