Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize synthetic routes for fine chemical production at laboratory and pilot scales.
• Conduct process research, including reaction kinetics studies, parameter optimization, and impurity profiling.
• Perform scale-up studies, identifying and mitigating potential challenges in transitioning from lab to plant.
• Collaborate with analytical chemists to develop and validate analytical methods for process monitoring and quality control.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, process descriptions, and safety assessments.
• Work closely with plant operations teams to ensure successful implementation and smooth running of developed processes.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement solutions to improve yield, purity, and efficiency.
• Ensure all process development activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Stay updated on new technologies and methodologies in process chemistry and engineering.

Requirements

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process development, preferably in the fine chemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates, or specialty chemicals industry.
• Strong understanding of organic synthesis, reaction engineering, and physical chemistry.
• Proven experience in laboratory-scale synthesis and process scale-up.
• Familiarity with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR, and MS.
