Placements24 is seeking a skilled Process Control Engineer for our Nelspruit facility. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced process control systems to optimize plant performance, product quality, and safety.

The position supports focused plant work with flexible remote collaboration in a hybrid model. You will design APC strategies, develop control logic and interlocks, and work with process engineers to meet plant requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in process control engineering, preferably in chemical industry.
• Proficiency with DCS and PLCs.
• Strong understanding of process dynamics and control theory.
• Experience with simulation tools and data analysis for control tuning.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering , Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process control engineering, preferably in the chemical industry.
• Proficiency with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Strong understanding of process dynamics , control theory, and instrumentation.
• Experience with simulation tools and data analysis for control system tuning.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for effective collaboration in a hybrid environment .
