Job summary

Transnet Pipelines is seeking a Process Engineer to support the lifecycle management strategy for pipeline assets and related infrastructure. The role sits in OPS & TEC, Process Engineering, DNR, Jameson Park, reporting to the Principal Engineer: Process, with a permanent employment status.

The incumbent will provide expert technical support to Operations and other technical disciplines, participate in capital projects, and drive process improvements across maintenance and capital initiatives

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng/BTech in Chemical Engineering required.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a large petrochemical maintenance or engineering environment.
• Eligible to registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer/Technologist.
• Driver’s license code B; willing to travel; medical certificate; lifestyle audit.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the Process asset Lifecycle management strategy.
• Provide technical and process engineering input to Process projects (Maintenance and Capital).
• Develop and monitor process-related maintenance plans (5–7 year horizon).
• Define technical performance norms and standards for maintenance activities.
• Monitor asset performance and conduct technical audits against the maintenance plan.
• Lead process engineering and re‑engineering projects to improve asset performance.
• Coordinate capacity within Process engineering to add value to projects and operations.
