Zusammenfassung

FirstRand is seeking a Data Privacy Specialist SME to join the Data Privacy and Protection CoE in Johannesburg. You will strengthen privacy capabilities across the organisation, drafting guidance, managing RoPA and DPIAs, and embedding privacy-by-design in AI and analytics projects.

The role requires 4–5 years in privacy programme management, PAIA/POPIA knowledge, and experience with privacy platforms such as OneTrust or TrustArc.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum education: LLB, B.Com LLB, or Risk Management, Audit, or related field.
• Advantageous: CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or similar.
• 4–5 years in Data Privacy Programme Management or related fields.
• Working knowledge of PAIA and POPIA and their practical application.
• Exposure to privacy issues related to AI, data analytics, or emerging technologies.
• Hands-on experience with privacy management platforms and tools (OneTrust, TrustArc, Securiti).

Aufgaben

• Represent the CoE and provide subject matter expertise in privacy for information governance and risk framework.
• Draft, review, maintain, and harmonise privacy documentation, notices, guidance, and training materials.
• Identify and assess privacy risks in designs and implementations, and embed privacy-by-design principles.
• Oversee privacy management platforms, governance dashboards, and reporting.
• Coordinate Data Subject Rights workflows and DPIAs, third-party risk assessments, and RoPA.
• Deliver privacy training and awareness initiatives with global relevance and local compliance.
