Job summary

FirstRand Bank Limited is seeking a senior privacy professional to drive Privacy Operations and Governance across Information Governance, Data Privacy and Protection Risk Framework. You will ensure alignment with international data protection standards and support the global Privacy/PAIA program.

You will draft and harmonise privacy policies, assess privacy risks in technical designs, and lead PDID principles across AI and analytics initiatives while coordinating with stakeholders to embed

Qualifications

• Formal legal or risk management education is required (LLB, B.Com LLB or related field).
• Experience in Data Privacy Programme Management (4–5 years).
• Knowledge of PAIA and POPIA and how they apply to access requests.

Responsibilities

• Represent Privacy Operations & Governance in privacy subject matter expertise.
• Support evolution of FirstRand's Privacy and PAIA program globally in line with international frameworks.
• Draft, review, maintain privacy documentation and training materials.
• Identify privacy risks in designs and implement privacy enhancing features.
• Oversee privacy management platforms, dashboards, and reporting.
