Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization.
• 10–12+ years in electrical power distribution.
• Proficiency with PSS/E, ETAP and DIgSILENT.
• Pr. Eng registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning and design of HV and MV distribution systems.
• Develop standards and best practices for network design and operation.
• Oversee substation design, upgrades and extensions.
• Conduct load forecasting, fault analysis and protection coordination.
• Mentor and guide a team of engineers.
• Collaborate with regulators and stakeholders for project success.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve grid reliability and efficiency.
• Provide technical consultation for operations and emergency responses.
• Review and approve key engineering documents and proposals.
• Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes.
