Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Principal Electrical Project Engineer to lead major electrical infrastructure projects in Klerksdorp, North West. You will oversee the full lifecycle from feasibility and design through construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and compliance with safety standards.

This leadership role requires expert technical acumen, strong stakeholder management, and mentoring of a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with at least 7 years in project management of major infrastructure projects.
• Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) registration with ECSA is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the planning, execution, and completion of large-scale electrical infrastructure projects.
• Oversee the design and development of electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and protection.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
