Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee comprehensive drilling plans, programs, and procedures for conventional and unconventional wells.
• Perform detailed risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for drilling operations.
• Optimize drilling parameters, fluid systems, and wellbore stability to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Manage drilling rig selection, contracting, and performance monitoring.
• Supervise day-to-day drilling activities, providing technical guidance and problem-solving support.
• Conduct post-drilling analysis, cost reviews, and performance benchmarking.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and develop junior drilling engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices.
• Collaborate with subsurface and operational teams to achieve drilling objectives.
• Evaluate and introduce new drilling technologies and methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in drilling engineering, including significant experience with complex well designs and challenging formations.
• Demonstrated expertise in drilling operations management, well planning, and execution.
• In-depth knowledge of drilling equipment, tools, and related technologies.
• Strong understanding of well control principles and procedures.
• Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
