Placements24 is seeking a Principal Computational Scientist to lead high-impact research initiatives in a fully remote capacity. This senior role requires deep expertise in computational modeling, simulation, and data analysis to drive product development and scientific discovery.

You will mentor a team of computational scientists, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop advanced computational strategies. A PhD and 10+ years in the field are required.

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field (Computational Science, Physics, Engineering, etc.).
• 10+ years of progressive experience in computational modeling and simulation.
• Expertise in numerical methods and algorithms for complex systems.
• Proficiency in C++, Python or Fortran and experience with HPC environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of complex computational research projects.
• Develop and validate computational models and simulations to optimize designs.
• Analyze large datasets to extract insights and inform decisions.
• Mentor junior computational scientists and foster technical excellence.
• Collaborate with experimental scientists and engineers to integrate findings.
