Responsibilities

• Provide professional civil engineering expertise and QA for complex development, land-use and building applications, ensuring municipal standards compliance.
• Lead pre-consultation engagements with developers and stakeholders to identify constraints and promote innovative engineering solutions.
• Coordinate inputs from multiple disciplines and departments to resolve conflicts and plan infrastructure and service capacity requirements.

Requirements:

• Four-year Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) or Bachelor of Structural, or specialized Fire Engineering
• A minimum of 8-10 years’ of post-registration professional engineering and fire-safety design experience
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa

Key Performance Areas:

• Provide professional civil engineering expertise and technical quality assurance for complex development, land-use and building applications, ensuring compliance with municipal standards, policies and infrastructure master plans.
• Lead and facilitate strategic pre-consultation engagements with developers, consulting engineers and internal stakeholders to identify infrastructure constraints, resolve design issues and promote innovative engineering solutions.
