Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning and execution of process optimization projects across multiple production units.
• Analyze process data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement advanced control strategies to stabilize and enhance process performance.
• Conduct rigorous process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement necessary safety measures.
• Evaluate new technologies and equipment for potential integration into existing operations.
• Provide expert technical consultation and guidance to operations and engineering teams.
• Develop and deliver training programs on process optimization techniques and best practices.
• Manage external consultants and vendors involved in optimization projects.
• Document all findings, recommendations, and implemented changes thoroughly.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in chemical process engineering, with a significant focus on optimization and troubleshooting in industrial settings.
• Extensive experience with process simulation, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex, cross-functional optimization projects.
• In-depth knowledge of process safety management (PSM) principles.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies is advantageous.
• Must be willing to work on-site in Centurion, Gauteng .
