Curro Hillcrest Christian Academy (Preschool) in Hillcrest invites applications for YES Programme Candidate: Student Teacher (part-time) starting January 2027. This stipend-based, 12-month contract role focuses on classroom support and teacher assistance.

Ideal candidates are South African youths aged 18–34 who are currently unemployed and hold an Education/ECD qualification with SACE registration. Living near the Curro school and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be aged 18–34 and currently unemployed.
• Qualification in Education, Early Childhood Development, or related studies is essential.
• SACE registration (provisional or conditional accepted).
• Living close to the Curro school you are applying for.
• Stipend-based opportunity for 12 months.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with children.
• Willingness to assist with lesson preparation and admin tasks.

Responsabilités

• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
• Engage learners and provide one-on-one support where needed.
• Support marking, recording results, and monitoring learner progress.
• Assist with school activities, events and extracurricular programmes.
