Curro Foreshore in Cape Town invites applications for a YES Programme Candidate: Student Teacher (part-time) commencing duties January 2027. This stipend-based opportunity runs for 12 months and targets eager learners who want classroom exposure while pursuing education in ECD or related fields.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Education, Early Childhood Development, or related studies (essential).
• SACE registration (provisional or conditional accepted).
• Unemployed and aged 18–34 years.
• Living close to the Curro school you are applying for.

Responsabilités

• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom organisation and materials.
• Support learner engagement and provide one-on-one help where needed.
• Assist with marking, recording results and tracking learner progress.
• Support extramural activities and school events for learner involvement.
• Prepare teaching materials, photocopies and digital resources.
• Provide basic administrative support such as filing and records.
• Participate in training and mentorship opportunities.
• Uphold Curro’s ethos and values in daily practice.
