The successful candidate will plan engaging lessons, manage daily routines, and collaborate with staff to implement curriculum initiatives while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Early Childhood Education (NQF Level 4 or higher).
• Minimum 3 years of preschool teaching experience.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles.
• Experience with curriculum frameworks and assessment methods.
• Excellent classroom management.
• Strong communication and observational skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Collaborative team player.
• Clear criminal record and professional references.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons for preschool children (3-5 years).
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that promotes exploration and discovery.
• Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their learning journey and providing feedback to parents.
• Foster positive social-emotional skills, encouraging cooperation and empathy among children.
• Manage classroom routines, including circle time, learning activities, snack time, and outdoor play.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-resourced classroom.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and educational standards.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
