Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Sports Facilities Manager to oversee operations of a premier stadium complex in Mahikeng. You will coordinate events, supervise a team, manage maintenance, and ensure safety and efficiency for athletes, spectators, and organizers.

The role demands a bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least five years in large sports facilities, and strong leadership, budget and logistics skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing large-scale sports facilities or event venues.
• Experience in facility operations, maintenance, budget management and event logistics.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations for public venues and sports events.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational plans for the stadium complex, scheduling events and maintenance.
• Oversee maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facilities, grounds and equipment.
• Manage the facility operations budget including utilities, supplies and staffing costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with event organizers, teams and contractors for smooth execution.
• Lead, train and supervise maintenance, security, and operations staff.
