Job summary

ALS in Johannesburg seeks a sampler to carry out sample preparation of different commodities as instructed by the site supervisor and sample preparation team leader.

The role requires Matric and at least 2 years of sampling experience, strong English communication, ability to work under pressure, and willingness to overtime; you will follow health, safety, and quality standards, and maintain ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 17025:2017 compliant data.

Qualifications

• Matric – National Senior Certificate (Higher Certificate) is required.
• Minimum 2 years’ sampling experience.
• Strong English written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Be reliable and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Computer literacy is required.
• Sound knowledge of sampling and preparation techniques.
• Respectful communication in a multi-cultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out sampling and inspection activities and prepare samples per procedures.
• Record information and provide photographic evidence if required.
• Adhere to PPE and health and safety requirements.
• Attend sampling point during allocated shift and take samples.
• Store samples in suitable containers to prevent contamination.
• Wear adequate protective clothing.
